Unique freehand style in a corn cob. Very large bowl.
Plaque mounted.
Military style push in stem.
NOTE: because of the military style stem, please do not push the stem into the shank too hard. This will cause the shank to crack. A snug fit is all that is required for many great smokes from this unique style pipe.

The Freehand is MM's premier offering in corncob pipes, and it is, with the MacArthur, the best pipe I've smoked. The Freehand's bowl is a little shorter, as is the shank. It is more convenient in the hand, uses a hardwood plug and has a more durable vulcanite mouthpiece. The stack accommodates a very large amount of tobacco, which smokes cool due to the large bulk of the bowl. It smokes burley as enjoyably as Virginia or English blends. Mars' superior service and low price for this pipe put is on the must list with the MacArthur for the holy grail.
NOTE: MM's instruction is well taken to fit the stem VERY LIGHTLY into the military shank in order to avoid the possibility of causing it to split. The procedure works.
