I really don't find this snuff to be super excelent I do find that when I crave this snuff not one other snuff even comes close to what this snuff is. Even though it's a menthol snuff it has what I could best describe as almost schmalzerish quality hiding underneath. This snuff to me is almost like the candy bar of snuffs I wouldn't want to live off of a diet of gletscher prise but the menthol and tobacco is very sweet and yummy. Plus it's got such a cool box. The one thing that keeps me from buying it more often is that it last me forever because it really clogs my nose up if I use it too often. :( using it infrequently seems to do the opposite however. Not sure why.

Great Menthol Snuff
Paydirt (Unknown) 9/16/2007 1:58 PM
This is one of my favorites. Its a medium course medium moist snuff. The first time I tried it I didn't know if I liked it or not but I kept going back to it. Now I love this snuff. The flavor that I get out of this snuff is a pine forest after a rain with a light hint of rosemary. It definitely has a flavor all its own, unlike any other. I would recommend this snuff to be in everyones collection. I just wish Marscigars offered this in the 25g refill bags.

Great snuff - my first choice!

The name of this snuff is German for "glacier pinch" and it surely lives up to its name. Wonderful menthol and columbia oil mixture makes for a most invigorating snuff. Be warned, though - if you're used to milder snuffs, you surely want this in small amounts at first, as the fresh blast of glacier clear scent will surely take you away - pleasantly so, in my case.

a great snuff! the first snuff i got hooked on. it has a wonderful peppermint flavor on a chocolate like fermented tobacco. very nice and refreshing and easy to take. the grind is coarse and perfect for the beginer. it is like a peppermint patty in its taste. with the oil and the air tight flip top pocket box it holds it freshness very long. not a super strong snuff in the nic. dept. but not a very weak one either. it does clog a bit, but will never hit the back of your throat. i have been snuffing for awhile and still use this snuff in my collection. if you have never had a good german snuff this is a definate must try. it also has a brother called bayern prise, which is the same snuff with out the menthol. i think the nice sweet menthol used in this snuff is what makes it what it is, as a must have though, but if your taste does not agree with menthols it bayren could be an alternitive for you. definate 4 star bordering on 5. in my opinion gletchers is the best german snuff avalible in the USA.

My first snuff ever
smarvythelarge (Unknown) 1/10/2007 10:06 PM
This is the first snuff I ever tried about ten years ago. It has a very strong menthol aspect, but is complemented by the columbia oil (which I don't know anything about) present in the mixture. The columbia flavor is tangy and a little sour, I'm not actually sure I like it all that much, now that I have so many others to choose from. It'll do in a pinch (excuse the pun), but it's not my favorite by any means. Worth trying though as it is the worlds best selling snuff!
