Richmond, Virginia, has played a prominent role in the history of tobacco dating back to Colonial times.  From its famed "Tobacco Row" where massive brick tobacco warehouses and factories once dotted the city landscape to being the manufacturing home of many once beloved household pipe blends like "J. G. Dill's Best" and "Edgeworth Ready-Rubbed", the city is steeped in the tobacco tradition.  The "RIchmond" corn cob pipe is therefore named to honor those tobacco pioneers past and present who have called Richmond their home.

The "Richmond" is a massive cob pipe featuring a 7/8" diameter smoking chamber.  The cob is only very lightly sanded in order to give it that "natural" corn cob texture feel.  Like the Planter it also features a hardwood base plug.  The Richmond is very reminiscent of a style of bamboo stem corn cob pipe that was very popular from the Great Depression Era up through the 1940s.
